Job Description (Roles and Responsibilities
The British Embassy in Dublin is part of a worldwide network, representing UK political, economic, and consular interests overseas.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) leads the UK’s fight to cut serious and organized crime, protecting the public by targeting and pursuing those criminals who pose the greatest risk to the UK and is now looking to recruit an Assistant to Embassy Attaché – NCA as a partner on the FCDO platform in Ireland.
The primary function of the role is to support the NCA law enforcement attachés in the development, preparation, and dissemination of information in support of UK and host agency priorities.
This will include engagement directly with key local stakeholders, UK policing, and NCA teams in the UK.
There will be additional responsibilities in relation to the management of core administrative functions specific to the NCA office and where required in support of wider x-HMG requirements.
Further secretariat support may be necessary to assist with the management of broader Embassy activity.
This post is not an entry point to the UK’s Diplomatic Service.
Roles and responsibilities
- Process intelligence requests from Irish and UK Law Enforcement Agencies. This will include the secure handling and management of data and the preparation of reports in line with agreed national intelligence standards;
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries from Irish and UK partners;
- Assist in maintaining host nation relationships, including on occasion attending meetings with or on behalf of ILO;
- Manage office administrative systems, adhering to relevant control measures including submission of databases;
- Support ILO in identifying local risk and updating/reporting for inclusion on the risk register;
- Undertake financial administration and reporting and where required facilitate invoice payments;
- Conduct open-source research and analysis.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience
- Fluency in English both written and spoken (minimum of C1 level for CEFR framework*);
- Excellent organizational skills (i.e. Administrative, Executive Assistant, Office Manager, or similar roles);
- Proficient in MS Office applications;
- A high level of flexibility, discretion, and integrity. Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience
Previous experience in law enforcement and/or understanding of how to prepare, handle and disseminate intelligence reports.

The successful candidate will be subject to a six-month probationary period and will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis for two years with the possibility of renewal. The appointment is subject to satisfactory reference and security checks

Role Description
To Form an integral part of the Stores Team with a key focus on product quality & safety and the optimization of the production process. To take responsibility for all the FLD key tasks and operations.
Working hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30 am – 4 pm / Friday 7:30 am – 3 pm
Key Accountabilities
Loading and unloading delivering to and from factory stores areas. Checking loads for validity, paperwork etc.
Performing stock checks in stores.
Issuing goods to production as required and incorrect stock, rotation to minimize disruption.
Storing goods in the correct location.
To take responsibility for the forklift machine at all times.
To perform all tasks and duties as trained to ensure you:
- Work in a safe manner.
- Maintain good hygiene and housekeeping of assigned areas.
- Minimize environmental impact.
- Complete all required documents.
- Ensure all relevant information is communicated to Group Leader should issues arise.
- To highlight any problems, you encounter whilst completing tasks and duties. For example:
- Defective product.
- an unsafe machine.
- An unsafe work practice.
- A potential accident or hazard.
- an unnecessary waste (food, energy, etc)
- Reporting any issues that may impair the safe use of equipment.
Skills and Experience
- Junior certificate or equivalent.
